Overview

Our client is seeking an HR Generalist to provide day‑to‑day HR partnership and operational support for our Corporate functions based in Swords, Dublin. Supporting a population of approximately 90 employees in a stand-alone HR role, this position plays an important part in ensuring consistent, high‑quality HR service delivery across the full employee lifecycle.

A key responsibility of this role is the coordination and oversight of three-monthly payroll cycles, delivered by our outsourced payroll provider, ADP. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to accuracy and process excellence, alongside an ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders. You will also serve as a member of the Swords site leadership team, contributing to and influencing the local people agenda in partnership with cross‑functional leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in an HR Generalist role, ideally within a multinational or matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of Irish employment legislation.
  • Proven experience coordinating payroll with outsourced providers (ADP experience and IPASS certification is an advantage).
  • Ability to influence leaders and guide decision making through clear, practical HR insights.
  • Comfortable working in a standalone HR capacity, demonstrating sound judgment, independence, and confidence in navigating day to day HR matters.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and confident working with data and systems.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

You will be the operational lead for payroll delivery for the salaried employees in Ireland (approx. 320 employees).

  • Coordinate end‑to‑end payroll activities across three monthly cycles in partnership with ADP.
  • Prepare, validate, and reconcile payroll inputs including hiring changes, terminations, compensation updates, and leave information.
  • Review payroll reports for accuracy and ensure timely approvals.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day relationship with ADP, ensuring reliable service delivery and effective issue resolution.
  • Partner with Finance and HR colleagues to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and audit readiness.

Support Employees and Managers

You will help employees and leaders navigate people processes and policies with confidence and clarity.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for HR policy, process, and systems queries.
  • Provide guidance on performance, attendance, and employee relations matters, escalating appropriately.
  • Foster trusted, collaborative relationships that strengthen the employee experience.

Enable Talent Processes and Onboarding

You will help ensure a positive and consistent experience for candidates and new employees.

  • Support full‑cycle recruitment for employees onsite.
  • Coordinate interview logistics, offer activities, and onboarding processes to create a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Contribute to key people processes such as onboarding, performance cycles, and engagement activities.

Deliver HR Operations and Benefits Administration

You will help maintain the integrity and efficiency of our HR operations.

  • Maintain employee data accuracy in Workday, UKG and other HR systems.
  • Support administration of benefits programs, including enrolments and employee inquiries.
  • Ensure adherence to Irish employment legislation and internal HR policies.
  • Contribute to projects and process improvements that enhance HR services.
