Overview

Whilst this role is primarily on site, my client may well facilitate a day a week from home,

 

To support site safety-Manufacturing/production. To ensure compliance with current legal requirements and best practice, ensuring risks are minimised and correct working practices maintained through an underpinning of culture and positive safety behaviours. To seek continuous improvement on health, safety and environment practices for all parts of the business areas.

Qualifications

  • At a minimum an Honours Degree (L8) in Health and Safety or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a world class-manufacturing facility is preferred.
  • Good, all-round knowledge of EHS in the workplace
  • Communication – builds cross-functional awareness; clearly communicates project team expectations; good influencing / negotiation / conflict resolution skills.
  • Accomplished programme manager
  • Advanced skills in business, finance, cross-functional awareness, leadership, communication, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the EHS strategy for the site and identify the key projects to deliver all primary metrics. Report monthly to EHS corporate team and site management on key lagging and leading indicators for the site.
  • Manage incident investigation process on site and report to regulatory and corporate bodies as required. Co-ordinate with operations’ teams to ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented.
  • Support subsidiary sites in Ireland and provide support on EHS matters for those sites.
  • Provide EH&S support for the value streams to world-class standards ensuring that products and deliveries are built in the safest and most efficient manner.
  • Monitor key changes in legislation and report to management to ensure the site is compliant
  • Manage the site’s ISO standards, 45001,14001,15001,14064 standards and co-ordinate key activities and audits.
  • Ensure that standard work requirements are compliant for the relevant modules, refer to BOS for responsibilities.
  • Manage the site’s Behavioural Based Safety programme ensuring that all observations and corrective actions are completed on schedule.
  • Manage the sites ergonomic programme.
  • Manage EHS Training management per training matrix.
  • Reduce the sites carbon footprint (energy, waste, water, and refrigerant loss reduction) Identify projects to assist in achieving TT goals of reducing greenhouse gases.
