Overview

This role is ideal for someone looking to progress in their accounting exams as you will gain exposure to all aspects of finance. You will be given the opportunity to take initiative and develop your expertise, with senior and experienced professionals to call on for support when you need it. It is a busy role, so managing multiple stakeholders and juggling a variety of tasks at any given time is critical alongside your daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial awareness (business acumen essential to role).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships (both internal and external).
  • Can work in a fluid, test and learn environment.
  • Essential to have hands-on approach and be willing to deal with any task.
  • Detailed oriented and takes ownership of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. To work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • MS Office skills

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with the day-to-day functions of the Finance Department.
  • Bank account updates and reconciliations.
  • Process Vendor Invoices and dealing with Vendor queries.
  • Reconciling Vendor accounts with statements and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Allocating vendor payments and sending remittance advice out on a timely basis.
  • Maintaining records for audit and assisting with audit requests.
  • Perform admin and ad-hoc tasks as required to support the Finance Team.
  • Responsible for maintaining supplier accounts and ensuring details are up to date for payment.
  • Perform nominal reconciliations and analysis as required.
  • Assist with month end tasks as required and willingness to learn new areas to provide cover to the team.
  • Support the business with purchase order and payment queries.
