Overview

My client leads the field in next day parcel delivery throughout Ireland, are currently recruiting an experienced Logistics Manager to join and strengthen their Logistics team across multi sites in Dublin and Athlone.
As a Logistics Manger you will have a strategic understanding of our Logistics department and its key function of order fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge in the logistics, warehousing or distribution industry with proven experience of developing strategic plans and designing new solutions and services in a large scale, fast paced, 24/7 operation.
  • You will be a confident communicator/presenter with the skills to lead and manage teams as well as influence strategy and liaise with our Senior Management.
  • A person capable of decisive and effective decision-making, in a time pressured environment
  • A passion for building and motivating high-performing teams
  • Someone that really enjoys resolving problems and demonstrates high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for customer acquisition and onboarding
  • Managing the Logistics Department through P&L with effective planning and reporting.
  • Profit contribution by identifying and designing new solutions and services, in order to maintain, monitor and increase revenue and contribution.
  • Development of strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending objectives.
  • Ensuring Logistics objectives in terms of Health & Safety, quality, productivity and cost are delivered
  • Leading outstanding service to our customers with a team driven to be the best they can be
  • Driving an environment of support, training and engagement
  • Encouraging a competitive workplace with clearly set productivity and service level targets for your teams
