Overview

Are you a qualified accountant in Practice (BIG 4 background ideally) ready for that move into industry.

Whilst advertised as a contract rolethere is a strong possibility the role could become permanent

 

You will be part of the EMEA Accounting team. Your key responsibility will be for Service revenue accounting as well as Logistics accounting, with a strong emphasis on the related analytics. You will also lead new process implementation as part of finance transformationYou will be part of the EMEA Accounting team. Qualifications

  • Recognized Accounting Qualification,
  • Preferablycome from an audit background with experience in a financial accounting function.
  • Self-starter and be adaptable to a dynamic finance organization.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail to perform in this role as well as ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. 
  • Strong technical background in IFRS.
  • Effective communication both written and oral is key.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of Oracle is an advantage. 

Responsibilities

  • Service Revenue Accounting
    • Manage the monthly General Ledger closing for EMEA region
    • Perform analysis during, and after, monthly close
    • Collaborate with Order Management and Field Service teams to drive best practice & secure accurate and timely revenue recognition of Service business
    • KPOC for external auditor on Service Accounting 
  • Freight Accounting
    • Manage the monthly General Ledger closing for EMEA region
    • Management of CASS relation (outsourced invoice provide) to secure optimum financial  reporting  process for Freight function
    • Reporting monthly Freight P&L & related variance analysis to GSC & Logistics Controller
    • Prepare ad hoc analysis to country FBPs when the need
    • KPOC for external auditor on Freight 
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Reviewer of Bank reconciliations prepared by FISS
  •  Gross Margin Analysis
  • Assist with monthly Intercompany Margin on Inventory Reporting 
  • Act as the key “go-to” person for IFRS and related queries in your area
  • Projects and Process Improvement
    • Drive local elements of project work, as part of wider global projects
    • Initiate / contribute to process improvements, across all areas of the finance function 
  • Assist with other tasks as required, especially during month end close process
