    My client has an exciting opportunity for a junior IT resource, someone that is seeking to broaden their experience.  The role is based in Tuam coordinating, managing and performing technology support across multiple sites, largely delivered through third parties.  The role requires a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a desire to learn.   The successful candidate will have strong communication and organisational skills to support suppliers and business relationship management. 


    • Highly motivated individual with a desire to learn and a ‘can do’ attitude
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Two years’ experience working in a similar role preferred
    • Experience of data analysis / reporting in Excel advantageous
    • Full driving license; own car
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays


    • Technical Support
      • Assist in installing, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of IT infrastructure and applications where necessary
      • Consult with suppliers to determine appropriate hardware and software in line with policy and end user requirements
    • Supplier Management
      • Coordinate and facilitate supplier access for support and project activities
      • Perform regular supplier meetings to coordinate and manage support activities, including prioritization of support activity
    • Operations Management
      • Provide first line support to staff, ensuring all support requests are recorded on the service support system and manage these tickets either directly or assigning to third parties wherever appropriate
      • Coordinate suppliers in the resolution of issues and fulfillment of service requests across IT infrastructure and applications
      • Coordinate and manage change and release management activities by suppliers
      • Manage the service desk, ensuring ticket responses are fully documented and closed in a timely manner within agreed SLA’s and policies
      • Manage the service desk in line with change management policy and processes
      • Complete monthly control activities for reporting to management team
      • Have knowledge of all IT policies and processes ensuring compliance, effectiveness and efficiency aligned to governance requirements 
    • Project Work
      • Work as part of IT project teams to implement and co-ordinate onsite elements of projects
      • Business data analysis and reporting through Excel
