    Software Development Engineer

     

    PlaceMe Recruitment are seeking an Junior Software Developer to work with a Galway base client

     

    This role provides exposure to the full software development lifecycle. You will gather requirements from customers, create development plans, develop and deploy the software and provide support.

     

    You will act as second tier support for our Technical Support department and report to the Software Development Team Lead.

     

    PlaceMe Recruitment are looking for a candidate with a professional attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. As you will be working with customers, good interpersonal skills are essential.

    The engineer should have at least 2 years experience in a similar role 

     

    Qualifications

    DESIRED SKILLS

     

    Essential

    • Previous experience in a software development role
    • Previous experience of .NET (VB.NET or C#)
    • Previous experience with SQL or MySQL
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Excellent problem-solving skills
    • Excellent Ability to multitask
    • 2 years development experience

    Responsibilities

    The following skills would be an advantage, but are not necessarily required

    • Experience working with VB6
    • NET
    • JavaScript
    • iOS / Android development

     

    This role will provide you with valuable technical experience across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) as well as provide you with opportunities for growth within the company.

     

    Candidates must be eligible for employment in the Republic of Ireland.
