Overview

To increase the profitable sales of all applicable company products and services, to the relevant customer base, in line with Company objectives. Work with all segments and activities to ensure strong interdependent links between teams ensuring increased customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Account Management or Sales is essential.
  • You must have a high level of commercial awareness and a general understanding of market dynamics. 
  • An ability to develop new accounts is essential as well as a proven ability to work within a team.
  • A relevant engineering or electrical qualification would be ideal, as would experience working within the electrical industry.
  • You must have excellent PC Skills including Data Base Management, Word, Excel etc, good time management, excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• To actively promote applicable  products and services with target customer base, gaining orders, specification and standardisation
 
• To define technical requirements with the customer and produce cost effective and deliverable solutions
 
• Establish and implement dynamic sales plan in accordance with:-
  -Best in Sales (BiS) principles
  -Personal Sales plan (PSP)
  -Company policy, objectives and strategy.
 
• In consultation with line manager, constantly review customer base so that the correct balance of target and reactive accounts is maintained
 
•  Working with internal colleagues in all Entity Sales, Marketing Technical and Techno-commercial teams to ensure effective cross-entity, regional and national team co-operation.
 
•  Ensure that customer issues are owned and resolved by the most appropriate owners within the business units
• Provide all relevant accurate information and reporting in a timely manner as required by line manager and feedback to marketing
 
• To manage and maintain customer and partner records using the appropriate company tools
 
•  Actively monitor the actions of competitors
 
• Personal awareness of development needs in line with knowledge and skills required for the role
 
• Actively develop core competency in line with personal development plan
 
•  To support company initiatives and  champion product competency development of other team members.
