To support the Key Account Manager, Healthcare and Education and Defense in the delivery of excellent services to our various clients in a cross section of industries across Ireland. This will be most effectively achieved by managing your allocated objectives regarding cost controls, standards of service, customer satisfaction, health and safety, people management, maintaining service delivery and filling in for site supervision or management during periods of absenteeism/projects. The predominant service sector to which this unit delivers, is in Healthcare, however a focus needs also to be maintained in the other service sectors.


  • Previous experience in the healthcare environment essential, with a customer facing role being desirable
  • Management experience at a middle management to senior management level required - minimum 3/4 years relevant experience
  • Garda Vetting will be required in this position and Country of Origin Clearance (unless Irish)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills with a solutions based approach
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage costings/budget
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Flexible & adaptable
  • Dependable team player
  • You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a customer focused environment
  • Drive and adaptability to ensure that challenging targets are met
  • Liaison with clients and service providers at all levels will be required therefore sound communication and negotiating skills are essential
  • Full Clean Drivers license


  • Ensure that the quality of services being provided meets contractual obligations and review areas of concern and general progress weekly with direct reports
  • Audit and inspect sites and implement the ISO Quality Management System
  • Ensure the required work, standards and financial targets are achieved in all services
  • New Contract start-up Planning, Transition and Implementation
  • Maintain the most efficient and cost effective utilization of resources



People Management

  • To monitor on a regular basis absenteeism, turnover statistics and holidays records
  • Working with HR to ensure that all HR Policies and procedures including recruitment, discipline, training and development are being properly adhered to
  • Provide appropriate management control through effective planning, organizing, control and communication systems to ensure that all staff are reaching the required department and individual performance standards
  • To ensure that all staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the duties of their job effectively and to develop succession planning opportunities that will contribute to the successful continuous development of the Company
  • To encourage active employee participation systems that will ensure a focus on employee involvement to the overall contribution of the success of the Company
  • To encourage and acknowledge team work and to create a culture that would encourage same
  • Identify and implement development plans for direct reports and carry out succession planning


Health & Safety

  • Work with the H&S Management to ensure that the staff within the HED Division have full working knowledge of company policies, procedures and systems
  • To ensure that the H&S department have been informed of new areas/contract etc. that may require risk assessments
  • Health & Safety is an integral part of your Departments objectives
  • Work areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition



  • Ensure accurate and timely cost reporting
  • Control costs as per budget and analyse variances weekly
  • Monitor and record expenditure in all aspects of the service model and contract
  • Achieve profitability and growth budgets
  • Assess & plan for future needs


  • Ensure close liaison with Sales Team in the planning of new business/ extensions and retention of existing business



  • To ensure that effective communication is maintained with direct reports, internal and external customers, suppliers, colleagues and Senior Mgt.
  • Regular meetings to update on new development and encourage feedback
  • Weekly reports to the BUM on the Business unit
